C SECTION BELLY BANDS FOR PREGNANCY SUPPORT

C Section Belly Band Belly Stint

Belly bands for pregnancy are garments made of elastic materials that conform comfortably to the pregnant woman's ever-expanding tummy. A Belly band itself is a wide, stretchy strip of flexible fabric that loops around a woman's midsection. It gently pushes the belly upward and inward, comfortably creating a supportive form of shapewear for the pregnant woman.

In addition to tummy control, it relieves back pressure via belly lift, shifting the woman's uneven weight distribution in a way that assists posture and balance. Belly bands are seamless and boneless, and therefore can be worn under clothing, helping to create smooth lines. They exert very little pressure, so there will be no pinching of the skin.

Belly support bands are flexible belt-like garments that are used to control and support the pregnant woman's growing baby bump. While most women purchase these garments in early to mid-pregnancy, many find them useful long after childbirth has taken place. These bands are typically manufactured from soft, pliant fabrics, in blends that often include cotton, nylon, Lycra, and spandex.

Unlike traditional shapewear, they do not have seams or boning and are not meant to literally cinch or nip the waistline. Instead, they are used to lift the abdomen and therefore provide pain and pressure relief to the lower back.

Early in pregnancy, belly support bands are often used to extend the life of the woman's pre-pregnancy wardrobe. To do this, it is worn similar to a wide belt, covering the belly but also the button fly area of the woman's pants or jeans. This way, the pants can be worn undone, yet covered and held in place.

During this stage, women also love the light tummy control it provides, helping to her waistline looking smooth and trim-looking despite the subtle expansion. At this phase, many women are still concerned with their appearance, and belly bands can eliminate the bumps and bulges that are the first signs of pregnancy.

The woman's second trimester often brings a more pronounced belly. By this time, many women find that shirts and blouses from their existing wardrobe are becoming too short to cover their abdomen. Some may find this cute, but others prefer a bit more coverage. Wearing a belly band during this time is an easy solution to that problem. Additionally, women will start to wear more and more maternity-style pants. Bands can help keep those in place as well, which is very helpful with those pants that may be a little hard to adjust.

During late pregnancy, women often use belly support bands as belts, worn completely under the belly and the back, thereby providing the most support possible. Soon after childbirth, they can be used to cinch those maternity pants that are now too large and to help with control while the woman awaits a return to form.

For the nursing mothers, they can continue to be worn on the mid-section, rendering under-breast support and tummy control, or as a shirt for extra coverage. Belly support bands are very versatile, and are popular for this reason - they have an almost unlimited number of uses from early pregnancy to postpartum and beyond.

Transition Post Pregnancy Styles

Transition Post Pregnancy Styles

Postpartum Leggings Postpartum FashionIn the beginning months of your pregnancy, when you are first starting to show, your regular jeans and tops begin to get a little snug. You might strain to get your favorite pair of jeans buttoned or realize that your usual tank tops are riding up a bit. This same issue occurs after your pregnancy when your maternity clothes are too big, yet your baby weight prevents you from fitting comfortably into your pre-pregnancy styles. These stages of early and post pregnancy call for the aptly named "transition wear", clothing great for early pregnancy and after, when you are not quite back to your pre-pregnancy weight. There are several brands which make great transitional clothing, where an extra room in the waist and bust is provided without looking like maternity clothing.

Pants can often be a difficult item of clothing to fit, especially during this transitional period. In the beginning stages of pregnancy, your pre-pregnancy jeans become snug to the button, and the maternity jeans are too big. After pregnancy, this same issue reoccurs. One great trick during these transitional periods is the Bella Band by Ingrid & Isabel. This elastic transitional piece is incredible for all stages of your pregnancy and will help you transition smoothly in the early months of pregnancy to after your baby has been born. When your pre-pregnancy jeans are a bit too tight, slip the Bella Band over the waistline with the pants unbuttoned. This will give you the extra room while still keeping your pants in place.

In the beginning, when maternity pants are still a bit too big, you can wear the Bella Band over the waistline and it will make them fit snugly. Coming in a variety of colors, the Bella Band is a great investment. Another great transitional piece is a trendy pair of sweatpants. Sleek and in style, sweats designed for transitional wear do not look like maternity clothes and provide comfort before, during, and after your pregnancy. The Bella Band Essentials Everyday Soft Pant is stylish and figures flattering. It can be worn in a number of ways, from folding the waistband underneath a smaller belly to wearing it unfolded over the belly during the later months of your pregnancy. So many women today, pregnant or not, wear cute, boot cut stretches pants and these from Ingrid & Isabel work for pregnancy or after. Since the fabric is super soft and sleek, they can be dressed up or down and can be paired with a variety of tops.

After pregnancy, there are several ways to camouflage that bit of extra baby weight. One option is to look for tops with an interesting neckline. This will draw the attention upwards and create visual interest around your face. Another great option to consider is a fitted blazer or jacket. A structured jacket provides shape and style while camouflaging anything you might not want to show. Overall, there are many pieces which will work well during the early stages of pregnancy and post-pregnancy. Find your favorites styles, and you will look and feel great throughout your pregnancy.

NURSING ROBE AND GOWNS - NEW FASHION

NURSING ROBE AND GOWNS - NEW FASHION

Breastfeeding to your baby is from the beginning one of the most important things you can do for your child. There are so many benefits of breastfeeding, such as providing your baby with the best possible diet, easily digestible natural breast milk filled with antibodies and the unquantifiable comfort and emotional support of nursing. Fortunately, breastfeeding is good for the health of the mother, for example by promoting faster healing after delivery and weight loss.

Caring for your baby is a real obligation, especially if you are trying to breastfeed the first year, as recommended by the American Pediatrics Society. The nursing profession is a personal choice based on your ability to produce milk for your baby, your life obligations and other responsibilities and family support. Our choice of clothing and fashion is also a personal choice. Finding additional care garments for our lives and our style is the key to make our lives easier and more pleasant while we are holding a newborn baby.

Most newborn mothers find that they spend more time in pajamas and loungewear than street clothes in the weeks and months after delivery. Finding bathrobes and pajamas that are both aesthetically pleasing and pleasant helps us to feed our baby easily and comfortably and to restore those resting fragments whenever we can.

Olian Maternity has some beautiful sleep sets for mom and me that you can wear when you are pregnant. Their sleeping sets are available in different styles in 100% cotton style with pajama tops and tops with the pattern, matching bathrobes and sleepers. Olian sleeper sets also allow comfortable loungewear in combination with a dress. For extra support of the bust during the day, wear a light bra under the top of the nursing robe.

If you are looking for a sexy and sensual touch, discover the Bellabumbum collection of nightwear. My favorite is their bamboo blouse with lace details. The ribbed baby bamboo fabric is very soft on the skin and stretches where it is needed. This soft material is also soft for the sensitive skin of your newborn. Blush and mocha are particularly popular this autumn. Combine this breastfeeding shirt with the Bellabumbum Kimono lace dress, available in cream / lilac and pink / pearl.

The Japanese weekend came with a new nightgown style with spaghetti straps and a flattering empire waist design. This dress has an easy to lower breastfeeding access with a double layer of fabric on the chest and thin support straps that can be pulled aside for breastfeeding. This elegant nightie hits just above the knee and can be worn for both motherhood and breastfeeding. The Japanese weekend makes this new style both a red and cream-colored pattern and a hint of lime with pink belt accents.

Majamas Lace Sleep Set is another chic option for mothers who are waiting or breastfeeding. This two-piece set includes a feeding dress with lace trim and a crotch front for easy access to care. The elastic fabric fits easily with a larger bust and offers a modest bust support. The lace dress is a perfect complement and makes it possible to wear this sexy nightgown around the house, day or night. The lace sleeping set is available in different colors and patterns, including a beautiful raspberry, pewter and zebra print.

Why You Should Wear A Postpartum Girdle After Giving Birth

Why You Should Wear A Postpartum Girdle After Giving Birth

Why should you wear a postpartum girdle after giving birth?

I was blessed with 2 amazing kids. During both of these pregnancies, I gained over 100 pounds….

This is the part where your jaws drop because it’s unbelievable to fathom I gained that much weight because of how I look now.

This is the same response I get over and over again when I share my post pregnancy fitness story.

My son was born weighing almost 10 pounds. So naturally I blamed my pregnancy weight on him! But when my daughter arrived at only 6 pounds, I realized gaining that much weight was just my “thing”. :)

Some women have acne, some women feel nauseous, others have that pregnancy “glow”… my thing was gaining weight.

Through sheer ambition of diet and exercise, I successfully lost the weight both times. The biggest contributor to losing my belly weight was my postpartum girdle. I unfortunately did not use a girdle after my first pregnancy but because I used one after my second pregnancy, I am the best source to share the A-MA-ZING difference with using a postpartum shaper!

Though I lost all of the weight after having my son, I still had a “pooch” for years. Knowing this, I decided to try a different approach after having my daughter. I decided to try wearing a girdle. Right away, I saw and felt a difference.

Here are the benefits to wearing a shaper:

  • Helps your uterus to return to its normal size
  • Compresses your abdomen for a faster recovery
  • Flattens your hips and pelvis (if you get the full coverage postpartum shapers)
  • With your new mommy schedule, it provides you with the slim waistline in case you don’t have time to hit the gym yet
  • Provides the extra support needed to push everything back into place
  • Relatively inexpensive – some start at $10!

There are so many options out there. Ranging from $10 – over $100. As long as the girdle provides the desired compression you are looking for there is no need to purchase an expensive girdle. You get the same results with a lesser expensive brand that gives you the compression required to flatten your belly. The best place to start would be www.treasuredbodyshaper.com

Along with diet and exercise, you are well on your way to regaining your pre-baby body. Wearing a shaper is one of the best pieces of advice I can give you for your postpartum recovery.

Good luck!  :)
